This stemmed from his observation of an almost complete absence of discourse globally, on Contemporary India Architecture. With buildings contributing to 40% of carbon emissions, a critical position needs to be established, one that is embedded intrinsically in contemporary Indian architecture. It must deal with all issues unique to our economics, sociology, history, diversity and our Indianness. While the rest of the world is trying to go green, we are fortunate to have a vast, rich tradition of building green. Manit believes that today we have glorious opportunity – to take what we had learnt over centuries and from the mistakes of the architecture of excess of the West, and leap frog into an architecture that is sustainable - not only environmentally, but financially, socially, culturally and technologically - an architecture that is global yet local. Manit's belief in sustainability shapes all Morphogenesis' projects. With a local, socio-cultural response to design, the results are more often than not, passive solutions, which help to reduce energy and water dependence, with minimum reliance on mechanical means. He has successfully created exemplars that consume 70% lesser energy than established green rating benchmarks, without incurring additional cost. Optimization of all resources is a pre-requisite to architecture today. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Manit Rastogi」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
